OUR PRIORITIES DETAILS

“Economic inequality has long been a part of Indonesia’s story. This phenomenon, known as the ‘Social Gap,’ is common in developing countries. Eastern Indonesia is often highlighted when discussing economic inequality in the country. Many people are aware that this disparity causes numerous problems—social, economic, and political—but they choose to live alongside it.

CURRENT CONDITION

The distribution of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) from Eastern Indonesia (KTI) up to the year 2021 is only 10.9% from the three regions, namely Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, and Maluku and Papua.

The low quality of education in Indonesia is influenced by minimal participation at the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and higher education levels, learning outcomes, unequal distribution of educational quality between regions, and cultural awareness.

The workforce from Eastern Indonesia is limited, and the average Human Development Index (HDI) is only 69 out of 100, indicating a still low standard of living.
